Haroula Rose is a filmmaker, branded content director, and musician from Chicago, living between New York and LA. She is currently wrapping up post-production on a feature film she wrote and directed, titled ONCE UPON A RIVER. Additionally, she has directed several award-winning short films and a pilot. Her films have screened at over 40 film festivals worldwide, including Cannes, Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, Newport Beach, and Deauville. Her pilot LOST & FOUND premiered at Tribeca in 2017 and went on to win the Audience Award at the Bentonville Film Festival. In addition to directing, Haroula has produced both narrative fiction and non-fiction for big and small screens, including the films FRUITVALE STATION, HEAVEN ADORES YOU, PERMANENT and THE FEAR OF THIRTEEN.
She entered into the commercial and branded world initially via her music, having worked in a post house in Chicago after graduating from the University of Chicago. She then attended USC's School of Cinematic Arts. Her work has been supported by a Fulbright Fellowship, Nantucket Screenwriters Colony, Warner Brothers TV Directing Workshop, and Tribeca All Access. Her songs can be heard in several films, episodics, and commercials.
